The Gold Sands Deposit of Peru
  • It’s big.
  • Past exploration confirms millions of ounces of gold.
  • Recent technology advances make it practical to collect the gold.
  • Constitution Mining controls the largest single land position in the area and is already at work.
What It Is
Constitution Mining controls 382 square kilometers of the Gold Sands of northeastern Peru, where the Marañón river system reaches the interface of the Andes Mountains and the flat Amazon foreland. Just above the foreland, the rivers merge into a fast-moving, high-energy torrent and rush into the Manseriche Gorge. The mouth of the Gorge provides a transition point as emphatic as the mouth of a nozzle. Water shoots out and pours onto a flatlands. There it slows, and there it begins setting down its sedimentary load – sand, gravel and gold - in an immense, fan-shaped deposit.

The gold is there. We intend to pick it up.
What We’re Doing Now
Constitution Mining has commenced the drilling of 300 holes in the Gold Sands to define the Company's gold resources and 200 holes to develop the Company's proven reserves. The drill program is in preparation for mining operations to begin in 2011.

Previous exploration identifies the Gold Sands as a possible “elephant” deposit. Engineering studies indicate that recent improvements in mining technology are especially well suited for this type of giant deposit… and could make production costs comfortably and profitably low.
